| The next morning the mood is even more intense. Lisa, who is Jewish, was put in the White Caucus
the previous evening. She was bothered by that all night, and she has something critical to say. |

| The Asian students stand up as a group. They are tired of people assuming all Asians are the same. |

| The Latino students stand up. They want others to acknowledge the position Latinos are put
in in American society. |
 |
| And finally, Lariza, a mixed-race Nicaraguan and white woman and Don, a native-american who
grew up in a white community, stand up to protest the division of people by race and their
exclusion as mixed-race people. |
 |
Following these gutsy sessions everyone welcomes the opportunity to just hang out and consider
all that is being said. It is interesting to watch how honest confrontation has increased the
students' ability to be relaxed and open with each other. |
